You know you're getting old when...

I've installed kitchen cabinets and always told the Plumbers that the manufacture should make the center mull removable on the base cabinet.
That would make it easier than trying to fit in a 15" wide opening.
Maybe the newer european design ones do?

Well, folks, I’ll tell you how it works out, Eldon is pretty good at his profession and I know he will make it work. When I bought the new one I made sure it wasn’t too big for the spot!
Just had a dose of extremely bad news about a friend’s son committing suicide, I’ve spent the morning over there being a “brother”! Now, I’ll do a little moving of stuff in the basement.
Tomorrow I plan on smoking a butt and taking a pan of that over for them to have things to eat.

...when you re-do something that you did decades ago, when the younger you must have run out of time, money, ambition, or proper prior planning. I had plumbed in a laundry sink eons ago and i must have run out of something because the shut-off valves were installed in an awkward position relative to the sink basin, requiring me to crawl under the sink to reach them. I'm too old for this! WTH was I thinking back then?
I hear ya!

We replaced the cheap carpet in our house fairly quickly with just as cheap laminate flooring. I replaced the downstairs flooring about 8 years ago with composite wood flooring

When we decided to sell the house, we knew that the upstairs flooring would need to be replaced. We bought better laminate to replace it with.

If I remember correctly, it took only a couple/3 weekends to complete that task

Danged if it didn’t take almost a month to replace the flooring upstairs 20 years later!
