You can call me Josh Dekubber!

Josh it would be interesting see some of your Q's combined with your Tank decal mods.
I'm just getting home from picking up a Summit. I have three Q grills in line for easy refresh. I'll get a picture with a tank sticker magnet. I definitely have to get moving on these flips. I've got at least six easy ones that I need to get up for sale and sold to make room.

Did you score any more 9930's?

No I didn't. I wish but I picked up a third generation Summit s420 for free to flip. The grates in these are nice also but don't fit x000 grills without cutting both ways. Also it came with a free full propane tank.
It's really really dirty but in excellent condition including the cook box. The people I got it from are selling their house and they told me it came with the house when they bought it and they never used it.
These grills are one of my best money maker grills. The last one I picked up for free sold for $600 immediately after I listed it. With no money invested. Just a clean up. It's not life-changing money but I enjoy doing it and I can put the profits back into Genesis 1000 and junior grills to keep.

Nice score, you still got that horse shoe going on !

Josh, I used a set of 3rd generation Summit grates on a "classic" Genesis. As I recall, I only had to cut them shorter front to back. I recall that they were the right size left to right, but it was a number of years ago, so I could be wrong.

So I just tried them in the Genesis ii and they are about a quarter inch too big in both directions. So close.

Now I will try and compare them to the previous generation Genesis 300. Just as I thought they are good from front to back but about an inch and a half too wide overall.

This 3rd Generation Summit grates are from S420. It has a smaller grate that is the same width as Genesis x000 but also a large one but maybe if it had come with a smoker box both grates would be the right size from side to side to fit the width of Genesis x000.

So looking again at how good the condition of the dirty grates that came on my Summit S420 I decided that I have to keep them and custom cut them down for one of my keeper grills.

So I ordered these $29 SS grates 7mm to put in the Summit when I sell it. Or donate it.
