WSM Hinge Installed

I didn't paint or tape the inside. I did put a dab of high temp silicon in there to "seal" the metal and to work as thread locker. Just drill slowly with a sharp bit, heck, go buy a new one!

skip the paint, that bit of non-exposed steel ain't gonna hurt one lick...
and no enamel chips without using tape.

remember, you're drilling into a metal smoker...
not like it's a '57 Cadillac. ;)

After you use the smoker a few times the grease and gunk will coat the tiny bit of bare metal and keep it from rusting!

I got the hinges on my two 22" WSMs and am not looking at covers. I put on one that is for a 26" but it seems kind of short, do those of you that use the Weber 26" have any pictures as to how long they hang on the cooker?

Installed the hinge on the 22.5 WSM today and will do the 22 OTG tomorrow. Haven't used it yest, but love the hinge so far.

All the AFTER pictures seem to show the same angle. QUESTION: When the lid is in the up position...does the condensation from the lid (liquid smoke) drip off (fall) INSIDE the smoker or OUTSIDE?

Those are from "Unknown BBQ".
Contact Jason, great guy. One of the best products I have ever bought!
Money well spent to be sure.
NFI, just a fan.
