Hi got my wsm bullet today and when I was building it up noticed the water pan has 2 holes near the rim. What are these for?

Nothing in terms of cooking or using the WSM. Probably used in the manufacture process. Ever see when they powder coat something and they hang it and run it through an oven? My guess is that the process to porcelain is about the same.

The water pan is the charcoal bowl of the smokey Joe grill. The holes are used when it is a grill.

The others are WAY off................

The LEFT one is for the "flux capacitor" and the RIGHT one is for the "Johnson Rod" and whatever you do, NEVER put them in the wrong hole or bad things will happen.
