Mt first load lasted about 9 1/2 - 10 hours. So I'm not far off the mark, I've seen some videos on you tube and they say they can easily get 18 hrs out of a full load on a 18" WSM.
I just ran my 22.5"wsm this weekend for almost 18hrs and only ever add half a chimney of lit near the end to up my heat to 300°. I ran a bunch of lump that i started with half a chimney of lit kingsford, w/o water and foiled pan.
18 hrs on 22" on full load is usually what I get. Food is done by then anyway. I run it with a pitmaster iq110 though. I tend to believe the temp controllers consume a little more fuel than when left alone.
