WOULD YOU????

@Richard Garcia I have the first Generation, love it and of course would be in the camp of taking the plunge. I bought mine out of want but have really found it to be the best Weber I have ever cooked on (mind you I have all shapes and sizes including a ranch)

The ease of operation is a joy. Having a easy way to lift and close the lid is great. The double insulation really is nice for consistent temperatures and fuel efficiency. It will hold a lot of food too over its 24” area. Over the last few years most all of my kettles and WSM have sat idle. In the last 2 months we moved to town from the ranch. So far the only 2 cookers, 14” WSM and the S6 made the move. I’ve only used the S6, have not missed the others and have no plans to bring any of the others down to the new place.

Good luck with your decision

One other thing I was reminded of the other day is that the weather plays a lot into this. If the weather is nice, I enjoy cooking outdoors more and am more likely to use a charcoal grill. If it's not so nice outside I'm more inclined to just want to get-r-done with a gasser.

Why suffer bad food off a gasser just because it’s cold outside? I personally like to eat like a king, cold or warm, wet or dry. Charcoal in all weather. But that’s just me...

*** are you talkin' bout? This all came off the gasser and non of it was "bad". If you can't cook good food on a gasser then you got some problems.

E6 & S6 Review:

I like my E6 a lot and passed my performer to my daughter with no regrets. Overnight cooks are really easy on it! I did keep my 22 WSM for big jobs.

And it would all be better off charcoal. That’s simply a fact. All I’m saying...
