My stash of chunks is dwindling and I need some good stuff. I don’t want to buy packaged chunks from the hardware store.

So, where are you getting yours from? Do they ship nationwide?

The old owner at Fruitawood passed it to a guy that’s doing a very nice job in communication and supply. Great people!
Try some of the “Merlot / Bourbon barrel” stuff if they have any, I use it on brisket with FABULOUS results!

I’ve said before sassafras is really nice. I love it for a smoke wood. Not sure where you’d buy it. It’s wild all over the place here in my share of the wooded empire.

I've been using Western brand for as long as I can remember. The 500 ci boxes stack so don't take much room to store and the chunks vary in size, with some big enough that i take the hatchet to them. Others are small enough to be used in place of chips in my electric smoker.

Yeah, there’s probably more truth to that than I’d like to admit. I just wasn’t all that impressed with the Weber Apple chunks I bought from the local hardware store compared to where I used to order them from. Is it psychological? Probably.
