I noticed a Mexican taco place near us has pozole on Saturday and menudo on Sunday. I want to try the pozole, but I'll probably pass on the menudo.

Tell them to give you a sampler of both. See if you like them. Then choose which is better.
Most restaurants will do it if you tell them your new and want taste it.
I do it all the time when I go to a New Mexican restaurant.
