Finally the curse is lifted, I liked my wings

Marinated in Franks Red Hot Buffalo Wings, half of them had Stubbs Sweet Heat add, half didn't. Very good. Not Clint quality, but he does a lot of pre-cook stuff. I'm too lazy :)

Tacos...Can you guess how they got cooked, LOL

I know you're toying with me or I'd give you some more good advice :) Great cook Chuck.

The comal is very interesting to me too..... I've been considering a discada for years, mainly for stir fry and fajitas..... I keep imagining a few changes for the comal....maybe cut a notch out of it somehow to leave access to the grill, cut the handles off so the lid could go on----but what do I know, I haven't even seen the original in person :)

12:43pm edit: (I can't get enough of those tacos - and that comal)

...edit again - those wings sure look good......or is it that the beer talking :)

Good to see the comal wasn't a wasted purchase. ;)

All of it looks good. Real good!

Nice cook Chuck, those shrimp looks amazing. I think I'm going to have to get me a comal.
How long do you cook the chicken without the water pan, and what kind of temps does the WSM get up to without the bowl installed? Cheers

Clint, you'd do amazing over the Comal, your very creative

Gary the wings took about a half hour, the temp exceeded my 550 thermometer :)

Thanks everyone, been a long road getting back in the saddle, finally getting the cobwebs out. Stay off your roofs, the fall isn't so bad, landing sucks

Chuck,

Looks like you have hit the pinnacle of wingery. I am going to have to look into this comal concept. It seems like it would turn your OTS into a flat top grill, no? How does the fire breathe with that thing on it? Does it sit atop the grill grate or is it resting on the support tabs? Inquiring minds want to know...

Regards,

John

I wish I was, it was a year ago this week, stopped my heart, busted my head open, broke my back. The head injury put cobwebs in like nobody's business, but the back has been the hump to get over. Let me say this, if your heart stops and they hit you with the defiblator, if it works the first hit, tell them cuz the second hit hurts like nobody's business

there's a saying skiers & MXers say..... "no one gets hurt in the air" :)

Back pain sux, I know....i have a dent in mine from ~1996..............pain pills don't work. I unfortunately also know a little about head injuries too, and ?ironically?, 3 of my best friends had some pretty good ones (car wreck, motorcycle wreck, birth defect....oh and don't forget the other one w/ the tumors :) ).

Just another reminder to enjoy our lives and take chances :) ....I was riding my road bicycle a few hours ago and had a lady blow a stop sign....I saw her, I thought she saw me, but nope! Scared the sh!t out of her lol, me, not so bad, just reminded me about the line between right and dead (not a big deal, it was on a flat stretch going ~20mph....I sure paid more attention while going >40mph downhill).

Wow Chuck, that sucks. Sorry to hear about your accident. At least it is behind you. When I read your post, I thought it might be something that just happened. If there is a good side, it sounds like you've made a great recovery. A few years back, an old friend of mine was cleaning his rain gutters and he fell off the roof. He didn't make it.
