Cook and photos are truly knockouts Daniel!
I've had a lot of wild game, but not sure if I've tried wild boar, memory ain't what it used to be.

Bring It On!

......LOOKS GREAT DANIEL!

Very nice looking meal Wolgast. Wild boar is somewhat to lean to smoke with exception of the ribs. Wild boar Imho is best and tastiest when guisado.

This is what I was wondering. I have never had boar or feral pig but I've heard that they are pretty lean, and can be 'gamey' tasting. However I know that can be a subjective term as I have heard from people they consider venison gamey, but to me venison is way better than beef tenderloin or filet mignon.

Ok since it´s already bumped to the top i Wanna say THANKS!.

I grew up eating Game meat. And some how after being away from it 15 Years...I cant stand it. Elk/boar/deer/venison...Sure i can eat the filé of any animal i guess. But the rest, ill pass. I dident smoke this one...It was cooked @ about 350f. But i wanna add my 2 cents about lean meat and low temp: No meat on this planet is to lean to smoke. Its all about timing and inner temp.

Ye ye...But there is no benifit of making it low´n´slow!?

Ohh ye it is. You cook the protein in a stressless way,and gain a edge to edge perfect temp instead of a perfect center and a inch of overcooked edge.

Then why did you cook it @ 350? - Only reasson is that i made all the sides on the grill at the same time. Try cook taters @ 225f and you know what i mean. :D

Thanks again ppl!

Beautiful pics Daniel. I would definitely try it to say the least. Did you find it to be too gamey? Or just lacking in marbling?

its was a fine looking muscle so no complains there...But its the "game" taste i cant handle...And yet i think boar has a verry mild one. I guess its just me being silly
