I like the blue one but I'm afraid it will be hard to see in the sunlight.

Does anyone know what the best color for viewing in the sun is?

Thanks

Of all the displays, I have not had a hard time seeing them in sunlight, as you dont see the backlight anyways. I also like the blue one. It looks nice at night.

All the transreflective displays are fully readable in direct sunlight, it is just the backlight that gets drowned out in sunlight. You won't need backlight though because the sun is your backlight!

The transmissive displays are pretty hard to read in direct sunight.

As far as colors, I'd say the Blue probably has the lowest contrast of all the bunch. I actually bottomed out the potentiometer in that photo so the contrast was set to 0V (I put a multimeter on it because most displays you can turn to all black blocks). The Red I thought wasn't that fantastic either, but I think that was more due to the color.

Best contrast is the Yellow/Green, then probably the Amber, followed closely by the "Pure Green".
