What color is the SSP nirvana?

Collecting a tidy SSP performer tomorrow in the vanilla black!!

Planning to refurb/facelift with a new color lid and bowl from master touch and drill/fit brackets to fit frame.

I’m thinking Glen Blue would be my plan A, does anybody have this combo and if so can you share photo!?

Plan B is spring green I think! What traditional Weber color would you guys go for ? Photos would be great inspiration, TIA

I've housed several different bowls in my SSP. Still not sure which is my favorite:

Wow! Drew, thats perfect! in my mind for no specific reason the sage and ivory hit the spot!

Next question, i assume the bowls are from master touch models and exclude the gas assist igniter?!?

Those are some stunning colors! I actually like basic black on the SSP as well.

The SSP was originally a non-assist model (hence, the lack of casters). I later added gas-assist from a donor SSP.

The Sage came from a One-Touch Platinum, so it had the brackets and lid bale, but not the gas-assist holes.

The Blue and Crate & Barrel Green each came from a gas-assist performer, so they were fully plug-n-play, including gas-assist.

The Red Limited Edition and Ivory are both master touch models. They both required removal of the bowl handle and attachment of mounting brackets. I chose not to drill holes to add the gas-assist to each.

I used two different methods to remove the handles. On the Red, I drilled out the spot welds, then covered the holes with a strip of aluminum (cut from a harbor freight ruler). For the Ivory, I used an angle grinder to cut off the handle as close to the bowl as possible. I used high temp white touchup paint on the exposed areas. One benefit of the drill-out method was that I was able to used the Red bowl handle to replace the taco handle on the lid.

As for brackets, I salvaged brackets from another SSP bowl and used them on the Red. I bought aftermarket brackets from R-Shack BBQ for the Ivory.
