What about sides?

I really enjoyed reading this thread in preparation for tomorrow.:)
Good Post Timothy!

It’s very simple but one thing I like to include is cranberries. I just did this one.

Classic Cranberry Sauce
Simmer 4 cups cranberries, 1 1/2 cups each sugar and water, 4 wide strips lemon zest and 1/4 cup lemon juice over medium heat until the berries pop and the sauce thickens, 20 minutes; cool.

That is a good one Jerry.
Black Friday post feast review...
Turkey, very pretty, rather bland, sad to say.
New York Times Brioche Chestnut Stuffing, delightful!!
Garlic, Rosemary butternut squash (also NYT) big hit! I’d do that tomorrow again!
Creamy Pearl Onions, always popular.

The disappointment in the turkey was just it’s flavor, skin was delightfully crisp, meat was a little flat, maybe nothing more than a less than optimum brine, I don’t know.
Sadly my guest list went from an originally planned 12 down to about four and a half through a household case of some sort of flu. Today, I will do some soup for maybe Sunday dinner.
