Wedding Gifts and Blackened Halibut!

Back on May 29th I proposed to my girlfriend while camping at Garner State Park. Our wedding is coming up on Aug 19th so we've been doing the whole wedding shower thing over the past few weekends and the gifts have been pouring in! We are definitely blessed! Anyhow.. I cracked open a couple of the gifts last night to grill off some veggies and blacken a couple pieces of Halibut. Here is the photo tour of the meal and some of the gifts we've received!

Thanks for all of the congrats! And FYI for anyone else with an up and coming wedding. Register at all of the usual places people tend to register but ALSO register for things, ie Weber items and whatever else that may be hard to find, on Amazon.com. That is where the thermometer, Weber tools, Weber grilling basket and a few other gifts came from!

When I finally get a chance to use the new Maverick thermometer, probably shortly after returning from my honeymoon, I'll post a thread with pictures of whatever I decided to smoke. Maybe a brisket? Pork butt? Decisions decisions!
