The Summit Kamado S6 with the SS Table and Propane Gas Assist for around $700 more will be the one on my wish list due to being spoiled by my Weber Performer Deluxe.
 
Yeah, I have the S6 and love it. I posted about the E6 as it was delayed so I know a few people were waiting for the release. S6 has been available for a while.
 
Outstanding grill a big performer, hope you got it for a even better price. Looking forward to seeing some food coming off of the beauty
 
Ive been having a hard time finding the Weber Summit Kamado without the table for $1049. Does anyone know if they stopped making it? I dont have the budget for the extra $700

Certainly still making them....likely just a supply shortage...they were selling fast. Might just have to wait unless you can find a shipping vendor.
 
Good idea from Weber to go with the full wire rack
on the bottom. The metal shelf on the right side of
the old style will surely succumb to rust much sooner.

When I added my shelving system to my S6 (which has the wire rack system on both sides now), I needed to lift it up, so I used some 1/4" ABS plastic cut to size. Anyone who does want to add some solid shelf could use that, or any surface really cut to fit. As it is recessed, it stays in place nicely and it is also easy to mount to the wire rack underneath too for something a little more permanent.

Can see it here....I extended it out further to the left to add a little solid space as a shelf.
