Weber starter cubes

The problem with inverting the chimney is that once turned over, the charcoal sits very high in the chimney. Does anyone find that to be a problem? It seems like it would be difficult to get enough flame that high without setting something like a starter cube on a brick or something to get it closer to the charcoal.

notice that the beer can was upside down.

I use fire starters that I make up for backpacking. Melt down candle remains and pour over dryer lint and sawdust (or just one or the other) in cardboard egg crates. Then tear one off, light it and place under a loaded chimney. 1 cube will burn a good 10 minutes. Works every time and they're free...
