Weber Parts Deals

Cody, do you still not have any good Weber stamped stainless steel grates you can use on flips?
I have some. Sold a grill with them in it. Not a full rehab. But I like the look of solid rods in a full rehab. I also have a set of brand new Weber enameled grates.

I will refurbish a set of stamped SS to keep with my forever grill. Once the kids are moved out, I will want sear marks

I received my stainless steel lid hinge pins today and I'm a little disappointed. The pins themselves are the exact same size as the Weber branded ones, which is good. The aftermarket clevis pins however are gigantic compared to the original ones and I don't like the way that looks. The aftermarket stainless steel ones are also just as magnetic as the factory ones. Time will tell if they hold up better to rust, but I don't think I would buy these again. Here's a pic, factory on the left aftermarket on the right.IMG_20251217_181645717.jpg

I’m sending mine back.

Don't blame you one bit there, I might too.

I also received this stainless steel warming rack today. It's a mixed bag too. It looks great and is completely non-magnetic as stated. The fit was a little too tight, causing the middle of the rack to bow upwards. This would not be good as items such as hot dogs and sausages would probably roll right off. I did get it to level out after doing some bending in on the arms of it. Not ideal as it did take quite a bit of effort, but it worked.Screenshot_20251217-200640.png

OK guys, I finally got my set of grates after a couple days shipping delay. I have to say they are VERY impressive and way worth the $40 sale price. According to my measurements, they are essentially identical to the Quilmetal 9MM grates and a close second to the RCPlaneburyer grates.

15 bars per grate
full 9mm solid SS rods.
They are non-magnetic except for the very end of each rod (likely due to being cut)
They are 11.22mm between rods
They weigh 8.45lbs per grate
They are a FULL 17.5" long which ensures that even on the most warped cook boxes, that you will have very little sliding around when cleaning.
If I have to knock them for anything, it is the ends of the rods are not polished and smooth. But, they are not sharp enough to injury someone. Very minor in my opinion.

Here is @Jon Tofte grates comparison to compare to this set.

$40 guys. If you need a top shelf set of grates, now is the time.

Although I took advantage of extra Amazon Visa points for delaying delivery until after Christmas, my set arrived today. I am VERY pleased. Very heavy real stainless. High quality that I think anyone here would be proud to show off on a keeper grill. Hard to justify spending two to four or more times as much when these are so nice.

Thank you for the honest update, Steve. I am sorry and disappointed that they aren’t the high class solution we all were hoping for.

Those of you who bought should be sure to give honest, thorough reviews on Amazon. Maybe the manufacturer will take notice and do something.

THAT has always been my concern.... I figured a little 'bending' would probably be needed --- bowing is a problem.
It sounds like the fitment of the 'pegs' in the cook box were good tho....?

You will be very happy with those grates Val.

I can't imagine anyone who needs a good set of grates for the Silver B/Genesis 1000 grills that would be disappointed with these grates. They are a small step down from RCPlanebuyer grates at less than 1/3 the cost.
Bruce, would you mind sharing a picture of the unfinished rod ends, please? I may return my QuliMetals for these.
