Weber Genesis Platinum, I bought in Wausau,Wisconsin. Will be drastically modified.

I think those adjustable regulators are on high pressure lines and I think you could turn your IR burner into a flame thrower if you are not careful. There won't be a reasonable limit to the "high" range for the burner. I just don't know for sure how an IR burner would handle excess gas flow.

You do not want to use an adjustable regulator on anything but a very high output/high pressure appliance. I.E. a Ready Heater, turkey fryer, etc. Which consume HUGE quantities of LP at very high (nearly full tank pressures). Those IR burners are made for 10-11" LP or 3-7 NG pressures depending on if the NG one is set up to use a regulator or not

Did you order it yet? Have you checked the dimensions of the burner to see if it would drop in without significant mods to the grill frame?

Bruce, I have not ordered it yet, it looks like it'll fit the opening 🤔

Larry, what do I need for a control valve ?
I don't need electronic ignition, I can light it with a long charcoal lighter.

Bruce, modifications don't bother me😁

Honestly look for a regular valve that will pass the level of gas needed for the BTU of the burner. Maybe like a valve from an older Weber side burner

Not really, just a valve and a venturi (for proper air/fuel mixing). I think the burner will come with a "nipple" that should slide into a venturi. Would be my guess.
