Cody, I learnt my underkill a couple years ago.
I was putting in a electric hoist in the rafters of my pole barn/shed.
I gave this little project some serious thought, the hoist was rated at plenty of weight.
I came up with my metal needs and went and bought what I needed.
Got it all welded up and hung to the rafter so I could lift my snowmobile off my trailer with out backing it off.
Lifted up the sled and to my surprise, the metal bowed like crazy, lesson learned.
I was very lucky, the metal guy bought all my metal back from me, the only thing I lost was some pride
From that day forward, there is no such thing as overkill

I’m 100% on board with the overbuilding of things. Do it once and be done. We’re both building our forever grills, and quite honestly, I’m really liking your thought of casters on all 4 corners.

Where I grill in my driveway isn’t level, it slopes back/away. I’ve been trying to think of a way that I can level it. Threaded casters with a jam nut could be the ticket!

The stud on my casters are only 1 inch long, I'm pretty sure you can get longer and bigger diameter also.

I'm cutting off the 1 inch tubing for 1 and a 1/4 inch tubing, must make it look uniform.

Welded in the short pieces, now the entire frame is all the same 1 1/4 inches.

Thank you, I'm going to drill a 3/8 hole in these and then weld them on to each leg for my 3/8 stud caster wheels.

The frame is now ready for the caster wheels.

This was pretty much a drop in, a little grinding but not very much.

Nice welds Mark. I like the caster wheel mods too. I like the wire rack bottom too. Maybe paint it silver???

if that was painted silver it would be really easy to like!

Welded all 4 seams, took out the 4 bolts and filled in the holes.
Now, no bolts holding the frame together.
If i go with the wire basket, it will definitely get blasted and powdercoated silver.
Thank you Bruce, i can come weld your frame up
