Weber Family Portraits

An update to my family portrait, now including the newest member. Kids got me all the parts for my birthday, and I put together the WSM mini today!

Can't wait to try it out tomorrow!

Mr Pace, that is an interesting table set up. Can you explain how you have those chains bearing the weight of the kettles?

Is that cedar painted black or did you ebonize the wood with stain? I especially like the beverage holders.

Our family has an equal opportunity philosophy. Each weapon in my arsenal has a specific purpose:

  • All Around Performer: SS Weber Performer

  • Portability: Smokey Joe Gold

  • Set and Forget: El Cheapo Brinkmanns (ECBs)

  • Authentic Texas BBQ: Smokemaster Pit

  • Vintage Coolness: Atlanta Stove Works Cue Cart

I don't have a family portrait yet, but I thought I would share my first weber, jumbo joe (N - 1991).

The wife and I purchased it new shortly after we bought our first home. Looking at it brings back memories.
I mainly use it for picnics, but not lately as you can see from the dust and spider webs, LOL. :)
I was thinking I should clean it up, and start using it occasionally for smaller meals at home.

I almost thought I had a summit 450 like that. When I went to pick it up it had never been used but had been stored outside with cover on beach front property. Way too rusted. If I ever had another shot, i'd still pick one up.
