Weber Charcoal Platinum with 2 side tables, how do I replace the bowl?

Hi Guys and Gals, it has been a long time since I have posted, but I still stop by now and then. The bowl on my platinum needs to be replaced, and I do have
a new one from Weber. My question is, it seems as though it is only held in place with 2 screws? Is this accurate? I am going to try and find the owners manual
but thought I would seek your expertise first. Thanks in advance for you time in responding to my question.

Please post a picture of the grill. If it is the same as the one I just picked up there are 2 bolts that stick up.

Hi Joe, thanks for your reply. I don't know how to post a picture, but it is an older grill with the 2 side tables. I do see the bolts on the sides.
Do you happen to know what size bolts they are? I want to replace them when I put the new bowl on, because they seem warn. I am assuming the
rest of the bowl just sits onto the frame? And there are clips for the ash can?

The One touch Platinum with a newer Premium or Master -Touch bowl ( with lid vent more on the side) would be a perfect kettle, side tables with cart and fairly small footprint compared to a standard Performer.

Please post pics after you replace the bowl.

I hit "Like" about the idea of replacing the Platinum One Touch bowl with a newer, conventional one. I can see the vent location advantages, but personally I also really like how the original version opens.

But I find it difficult to seat the lid well w/o using the handle and vent tab with 2 hands.

Those bolts are 1/4" 20 thread. Mine did not really want to come out so I ran a die (from tap and die set) to clean up the threads so the new nuts can be threaded on. You should be able to do the same with just a new nut and wrench. Does your grill look like the one I have posted in this thread? https://tvwbb.com/threads/20-one-touch-platinum-aka-platypus-fb-find.96348/#post-1118607
OMG, I am so sorry Joe that I did not receive these posts in my email to respond to you. But YES! That is my exact grill. Thanks for the information!

Here are the replacement instructions for the bowl of the 2010-2012 One-Touch Platinum. #IworkforWeber
Thanks so much John. I did not receive a notification in my email that this was posted. Sorry for the delayed response. I will have to have a
friend help me with this, it seems complicated! Nonetheless, thanks for your time and posting these detailed instructions!:)

Regina if you click on your name at the top of the page and go to preferences you set different alert emails. Was kind of wondering if you got the bowl replaced. No problems

Thanks Joe for the tip. No I did not get the bowl replaced. I think I am just going to wait until spring, since I really do not use it much in the winter, being in Michigan. Thanks again for your time! :)
