Weber Announces New Product Coming

Well if that is actually true it will be the single largest improvement in the model since it was introduced

This is puzzling me. And too lazy to look up. How is this casting different? Porcelain? Cast, forged, etc.
If you're asking re the Summit line, the fact (if true) that it will have a cast fire box is totally new as previously they were sheet metal fire boxes and rusted out. So a cast fire box would be reason enough to buy a Summit if one were sitting on the fence and could actually afford the nut

I foegot they were metal as oppose to porcelain etc. Solid aluminum should have benefits. Does this mean no more grinding/sanding off rust. (Bruce). Now you can over heat aluminum. And i a sure there are ither issues. Buy wow, what a move. Will they have any porcelain?

You’re not going to overheat the aluminum. Pistons in diesel engines are aluminum, and see well north of 1300*. If you get to 1300, you’ve got other issues.

Yes, I’m aware of different alloys.
