Could this work as an upper shelf on the top rungs to hold large bins of supplies/charcoal/utensils (when NOT cooking, of course)?

Hey Jeff, just jump in and sort one out for yourself. It’s really fun, sitting with a piece of paper and a pencil. I have done that kind of “seat of the pants” design work for all kinds of stuff and it becomes a really fun project!
My big problem is not having space, or a shop, let alone tooling. I do have a very talented cabinetmaker buddy that doesn’t mind me using his shop for smaller things. The scaffolding as base design I like a lot but, I can’t justify another build just now.
