Warmed up brisket

So a few weeks ago, I made a brisket. Sliced it all up and vacuum sealed it and froze it. Grandson staying with us. Poor kid caught Covid. Wife just got over it a couple weeks ago so she's got immunity. Leavig only me. Have avoided it for quite some time. Luckily did not catch it from our late neighbor as wife did, daughter checked everyone else in her house. All negative. So she's asked we keep him. (nice daughter I have LOL :D)
Anyway needed a fast dinner and totally forgot I had made those packages. Pulled a couple out, into a sauce pan in boiling water. Simmered afew min, while I warmed up some sides. I swear it was as good as the day it came off Big Z and it was pretty darn incredible at that.
Whoever gave me this tip a long time ago...........................I owe ya! Once that is gone I have another brisket in the freezer. It will get the same treatment. Now I can enjoy BBQ at a moment's notice.

You’re welcome!!

Dunking vac sealed frozen meat in simmering water rocks and you obviously nailed it! I hope those in your family who have or had COVID recover well and quickly and I hope those of you whom have avoided it continue to do so.

Grandson is not too bad. I've been through it twice. Not pleasant but was not anything totally laid me up. Have had worse colds. Wife's been through now 2 or 3X as well. One of the times didn't even know she had it. It's more inconvenient tham much else. We'll likely need to have grandson here all week so daughter can keep the babies away from him. If she catches it she can't work, and she does not get paid sick time.

If you don't terribly mind, I'd like to live vicariously through you and not experience it personally.......

Don't blame you. Once people know you have it (or had it) they tend to treat you as a leper (at least the ones who don't know excrement from shoe polish). Thing is we keep hearing "oh new vaccine is out" but now I find out, it's not really even a vaccine (as in say a flu or polio vaccine). And even after being poked full of holes from the previous ones wife and I still caught it multiple times. So neither one of us is bothering with this "new" one now. What's the point? It is the same failed technology.
Anyway, I am going to not make further points on it as I don't want it to degrade into something offensive for someone. These are simply my own observation(s), nothing more

From what I understand of this little bugger, it's a rather mutable virus. What we tend to produce for vaccines is a little more specific, and as soon as it changes it's "coat," the vaccines simply don't work as well, if at all. Yes, what's being used as a basis for the COVID vaccines is something that had been "discredited" rather long ago, but does seem to be more effective in this case.

I won't get into the whole covid & vaccine nonsense.......I won't be allowed to post here anymore....
So on to the vac pack deal.....not sure who mentioned it to you....I had recommended this at times before but I know many of us do that around here. You get to make appropriate sizes, like packs for 2 and 4 ect.....It's perfect.
I had been using a sous vide when I do it....usually I don't need to eat in 10 minutes so it works well for me, I can put it on and set it to 140 or whatever and let it do it's thing for an hour or longer even.....like you said, comes out really really good.....
P.S. I do this with pork butt too.....
