For me, the big deal is exactly the uncertainty, not the creation of yet another password. A major company is making me jump through hoops that I didn't formerly have to jump through. Why? They could have left a "sign in as guest" option. They didn't, so I'm left to assume that there is something going on that they are not telling me about. Not sure what the big deal is.
But not to simply lookwho also require your info to purchase items.
No, I think that part is a little strange. Like I said, I can access it myself so I don't know why you can't. I do have the Walmart app on my phone because I like to look things up before I go in there too, that's how much I dislike going to Walmart. But not to simply look
I have this same experience. You also don't need to enter credit card info if you do have an account as they offer PayPal as a payment option.I'm not having this issue. I can browse walmart.com all I want, look at products and see prices.

Aren’t Walmart and Sam’s club run by the same corporation?I will pay more for something to avoid going in a Walmart. That's how much I hate it. So no great loss for me. Just found it weird
They are.Aren’t Walmart and Sam’s club run by the same corporation?
There was a lot of chatter in the late 20th early 21st century about how Walmart was forcing their suppliers to cut costs that forced many to shut down their US manufacturing and export the jobs to China. They are but in VERY different manners (at least to the shopping experience), Though quite honestly because our Walmart is next door to the Sam's Walmartians are beginning to appear at Sam's and it's making the whole experience in there almost "creepy" at times. Like once out I need to have a shower.
The same can be said for Home Depot and Lowes. In fact, Home Depot appears to be on a purge spree of American made tools lately. They ditched Estwing and Klein Tools recently. There was a lot of chatter in the late 20th early 21st century about how Walmart was forcing their suppliers to cut costs that forced many to shut down their US manufacturing and export the jobs to China.
I would be very hard pressed to ever set foot in a Walmart because of that.
But I march to the beat of a different drummer, as my mom reminds me from time to time.
We do live in a free country.
