I was in Wal Mart this afternoon just checking on their Royal Oak Lump supply.
Guess what? No more.
They now carry instead B & B Lump from Laralee distributors (Providers of Wicked Good) @ 5.27 per 10 lb bag. The lump is of Brazilian wood(s), and has very good reviews on nakedwhiz.com.
The package is similar to that of Wicked Good, meaning it is a smaller bag that feels heavy because of the density of what is inside the bag.
The only exception in the review is the high ash content.
Gonna go get about 50 lbs and play with it.
The price point is great, and if the quality approaches that of Wicked Good, then the change will benefit a lot of lump users.
I'll pass on my results later this week if I get a chance to do a cook of length.
