Vacation inventory

I might need to make a few adjustments but, at this point the big cooler will be hauling these proteins,
Pig wings
Chicken wings
Two pork bombs
One meatloaf
Chateaubriand
I don’t know what other inventory will come from the fridge but that mass of frozen goodness will keep everything else cold until I land after the six hour drive up.
There is a nice Meijer store in Alpena which I will visit at some point. The little grocery store in Rogers City will suffice for small runs. And there is Plath’s in downtown R.C. For additional goodness in the porcine camp. Smoked pork chops, Mettwurst, lunch goods, sausages. Excellent steaks but, I’m taking the beef from the freezer this year.
and there is “Big Stone Bay Fish” just south of Mackinaw City for beautiful fresh and smoked whitefish! I will be grilling quite a bit of that again!
I’ll try to keep some pictures ready to send, connectivity is spotty up there. Besides, I’m on vacation!

The “Pig Wing”?
That‘s a stolen modified recipe I saw on a TV show, featuring Milwaukee places, theirs were deep fried I re imagined it grilled,
Much healthier, hahahaha!
Simple prep, slice pork tenderloin into “bite size” pieces and wrap with bacon, grill indirect until bacon is crispy and enjoy with a dipping sauce of your choice.IMG_1364.jpeg
I generally “sheet freeze” them and then bag them up. That way I can have a lovely appetizer with little advance notice!
they are probably much better than deep frying from a health standpoint but, I bet the deep fried ones are……oh my!

All I can say is that I wanna go on vacation with you! And thank you for the simple recipe! AND, I saw that pig at a Pink Floyd concert once. Also recorded for posterity in a couple of their concert videos.

Sadly I can't make it. Getting things nailed down for dad with my sister on assisted living facility for him
