I stripped down an old Char-Boil for the sheet metal somebody tossed a few weeks ago as prices for sheet metal at Home depot are... lets just say costly. I got this Spirit that the cabinet and drip pan had seen better days. A new drip pan for this grill costs only slightly less than the grill is worth. I chiseled out the rivets that hold the inner door to the outer door on the donner Charbroil to create 2 pieces of metal. Used a snips to cut to size and for the grease opening, then just screwed it over the old rusted out pan. I think it came out OK. I showed what I did to the people that just bought it and they did not seems to mind.
