Tulipwood for smoking?

Hi.
I have just found a free source of wood shavings for smoking.
Its a mixture of Oak (ok), Walnut (may be a bit strong, not sure of the mix ratio) and Tulipwood (?).

Has anyone had any experience of smoking with Tulipwood?

As you've found, not much online for (what I assume is American and not Brazilian) tulipwood.

In any case, I wouldn't use shavings for anything. Too thin too small and wood ( )burn too quickly.

I'd definitely pass on that freebie IMO.

Yes, nothing online at all. I should have been a bit more specific. This is for cold smoking, not hot, so a few bucket loads of damp shavings goes down well on a few coals. Although when I got home, the missus had picked up a bag and most of it was dust, so no good anyway.

The thing that would stop me is not knowing what ratio it is.
