Trend thermometer problems

Well I received my Trend model 33 yesterday.I can say it sure is consistent,it's just not accurate.I checked it three times in boiling water,202 every time.Should I send it back to Allied.Does anyone have experience dealing with them,it took ten days to get this one so it will probably be like three weeks to send this one back and send out another one.I really need it quicker.Any thoughts on this?

I would certainly return it to Allied Kenco. I believe those thermometers are checked for accuracy at the factory, so it was probably handled roughly at some point afterwards.

To speed things up a little, you might call and buy another over the phone, then return the defective one for a credit separately. Should keep it to around 10 days again.

Bought three of those at Target in April, took them to Kirks class, all three were bad. Have had good luck with Polders so far.
