Travel after cooking?

So I'm smoking a bird, but dinner is served about an hour away. It could be 90 minutes to 3 hours from the end of the cook until we eat.

I can wrap the bird in foil and keep it in a cooler breast-side down. Will that work over a couple hour hold? Or do you think I'm better off cooking a day ahead and reheating just before dinner?

Thanks!

As Chris said, you'll be good in a cooler for a while. The skin will be rubbery though.

Ck this out. I put a towel in the bottom of a cooler, a heating pad, then the food, with another towel on top. I plug in the heating pad when I get to where I am going.
