Traeger Grill

Anybody own one a Trager, a friend of mine bought the 150XL . I know their electric and use pellets. Are the pellets real wood ? The metal looks kinda thin as well as the grill itself. Sounds like you can get alot on them at one time .

I've got a Traeger Lil' Tex...it's well built, heavy gauge, and has a nice finish. It generates both it's heat and smoke by burning 100% wood pellets...the electric portion of the system is used only for initial ignition and the the bellows style fan that keeps it going. ...good grill, but I much prefer the WSM

.. very little smokey flavor in the traeger due largely to design and the meat tends to dry out a lot compared to the WSM

..I think their price is a little heavy as well

My brother has a smaller Traeger and I think it works great. The 150XL is a big smoker. You could probably fit half a pig in that thing.
