My dad swears by cooking most meats using thousand island and it turns out amazing any one else done this ?

He cooks it in a pan of it I believe last week he did pulled pork and holy cow it was delicious very unique flavor

This is very interesting.
Can you provide more details how he uses thousand island when he cooks? May be a few examples?

Never heard about 1000 island, but I have used Mayo. on chicken. Does add unique flavor and keeps it super moist. Just paint it on and throw on the grill.

As I sit here munching on some Ruben dip made with T-Island dressing I can't see why that wouldn't work. I have some rib-tips mit kraut going on in the oven, and dipped a few crusty cut off pcs in the dressing and I liked it.
I'm gonna try it on a butt or picnic.
Thanks!

I was wrong lol don't kill me everyone but it's Italian dressing and he puts it with the pork butt in an oven bag on the roaster or in then pan period he swears it's the cats meow

Well I'm still gonna try it.:wsm:
And yea, I've done Italian pulled pork that I rubbed with Good seasons dressing mix than dumped a bottle of the salad dressing in the pan. And it is pretty good!
I add a few sliced sweet peppers in the pan also with some garlic.

That's a riot ....I use a lot of Italian dressing for marinade but I have a buddy at work that claims that CREAMY Italian is 10 times better....IDK , I always found creamy Italian to be pretty sweet.
