Clint, it just goes to a propane tank with a regulator. But really just let it burn for a minute and turn it off and in 20 minutes the coals are ready for the grill.

My wife just got me a Performer Platinum for our 20th Anniversary. The gas assist lighting is brilliant. Works great (just like Dean's pipe bomb) and gets a Minion chimney going in about 5 minutes. I now have 4 Webers (WSM, basic kettle, first generation Genesis gas grill). Today, I'm smoking some fresh kielbasa from Czerw's in Philly.

Nice! I built a similar some time ago, which worked great:

But now I just use a weed burner instead.
