This Genesis Model Number Not Listed With Weber.

I just picked this up today and put in the model number into Weber's data base to look at the grills schematics but it cannot find anything. Anyone know what this is? It says natural gas but its now a propane setup.

Looks like a genesis 2000. The 1993 is a government rating so it has to be 1993 or newer.

Joe, this looks like one of those dual date coded grills. The EO is definitely 1995. In the lower left corner of the sticker it will say "KN2" then a model number on the second line. KN2 would be a Genesis 2000 NG model. Weber.com doesn't accept the old KLx and KNx numbers in the lookup, but the model number below should bring up a result in the Search by Model section.

Here's an example of a dual date coded Genesis 1000, yours should be similar.

Not sure if this relates, but I've had issues w/ registering grills online w/ 5 number serial codes. Had to email customer service.

Another possibility is that the grill was also registered by the previous owner. But, you should still be able to find owners manuals and schematics off the serial number, regardless of the registration status.
