I didn't see a dedicated thread regarding black Friday deals, but I do see some sales on right now.
Is there the setup where Chris can get kickbacks by clicking the link ect ect anywhere for black Friday?

And I think I am going to step up my game with a new toy...........I get to pick my Christmas gift lol.
So I think I know what every one has / wants......pic below is related...is this the " best " option or should I be looking at something different?

Also does it operate on one AA battery?
I am the guy who turns it off after every reading, I don't let it sit there on for any time.....what kind of life would I be able to expect out of the battery life?
Any input for a newbie who knows basically nothing of this brand would be helpful.
Such as calibration issues or anything like that.

I do enjoy my inkbird, its inexpensive to purchase and has has an integrated battery which I like but expect it to have a life expectancy for sure.
I also have not had to calibrate it yet in the 3 or 4 years I have had it.......and only had to charge it but 3 times.
It says 3 second readings but it feels much faster than that.

To me (re: instant read thermometers) it comes down to if you really want/need that 1s reading time, or can you wait another 1-2 seconds.

i.e. The ThermoPro models (TP19 for ex) are a LOT cheaper. but gotta do what you gotta do!

I don't really know where that model you mentioned is on the web page....
but with the black Friday deal it appears as the one, which is my understanding to be the flagship is the one on sale and curently looks like the best price......CAN pricing of course.'
Feels like a good time if there was one..........I could be mistaken though...
Still listening to pros and cons please and thanks.....need to decide by later tonight.

I bought that Smoke. And while I like it I gotta say the company has become an absolute pest. Between constant emails and texts multiple times a day. I had to block the texts. Enough is enough. No offense meant, but I've been getting 5 or 6 emails a day and 2 or 3 texts a day every day

I’ve had my Thermapen for….about three years I think. Also have had my Smoke for about that same amount of town.

LOVE them. Wouldn’t buy anything else.

Also, I’ve not gotten an email nor a text a single time

That's..... ummm....... odd. Disturbing. And disheartening. I'd be on the horn to customer service, this just has to be a glitch, it's just going to drive away sales.

Love my Thermapens. Took me/us nearly 20 years to more or less kill my Mk 1, and it's been replaced by a Thermapen One. There's also a ChefAlarm here, and all of the probes for my HeaterMeter were sourced from Thermoworks.

Yeah, the quality of the product is not the issue. Just the constant texts/emails. Many times if a company sends texts there is a way to reply "stop". They don't. I can't even see an "unsuscribe" link on the emails. They're honestly kinda putting me "off" a bit.

Just update your communication preferences.

MK IV pen (iirc) for a few years and still haven’t changed the battery.

BlueDot
Signals

A bunch of probes and probe spools. And their spatulas and silicone trivets. Love all their products and will buy more if needed.

And my sons have Thermapens too. Buy once, own forever. Kinda like my new Zwilling knives. Just happy to own excellent products that the company stands behind.

I tried. Usually when you get txt message marketing there is a "reply stop" function. Not so on these. Also on emails there is usually an "unsuscribe" link or button. Here too. Nothing. Once or twice a month. I'm ok and may even be useful. But the amount I am/was getting is nuts

Oh man. The Signals thermometer is on sale for $154 right now. Don’t really need it, but that seems like a hell of a deal.
You need it! I would really like to grab one of those "bridge" units for the Smoke to interact with WIFI/Bluetooth so I can more easily watch the action on my Member's Mark pellet grill. I know people say the range is so good on them, but mine lost communication yesterday while cooking a rack of lamb. Thankfully the beeper was loud enough for me to hear the base unit from inside the house :D

Agreed. Product quality ain't the issue. Looking at what I've been getting from them, I do have an unsubscribe link at the very bottom (customized URL for my email address.) If you don't have the privacy policy, unsubscribe, and a view in browser links at the bottom, something is way wrong somewhere.

I do love my Signals/Bellows combo... I actually find I use my Signals a lot in the house oven too so I can monitor cooking remotely.

I have a Mk4 if anything ever happened to it I would buy the One model. I have had my Mk4 for over 5 years and no signs the battery is going dead or whatever. The One has a single AAA battery and per Thermoworks it should last about 2000 hours. Here is a PDF from them and all One's are calibrated but they I believe can be re-calibrated if necessary but I have never had the need.

I also have a Thermopro Lightning which can be had on Amazon in the US for $48 dollars I have used it a few times it works fine and is pretty quick. All I can say is for $22 more I would buy the One, they do charge $5.00 for shipping unless they are waiving it for this sale.
