Thermometer Question

My Polder is acting funky after a spring/summer's worth of use. Last weekend, the alarm was going off despite having it turned off. Today it was reading in Celcius - ignoring the switch setting on the back.

Since the Polder has magnets on the back I thought I could put it right on the WSM. I put it on the dome.

I now need a new thermometer.
I'm thinking of going wireless.

Either way, wireless or wired, should I be putting the thermometer/transmitter down towards the main body of the WSM, as opposed to on the dome?

My Polder probes are still good - anyone have a recommendation on a wireless that I can use the Polder probes with?

Most probes can not be used with another unit. The NuTemp units I know will not take a Polder probe.
DO NOT place the units on the WSM Find a small table, box, or something that you place the unit on.
