By far, I experienced a lot of what I came to Rome for today. The historical richness and the history this city holds is incredible. I am so humbled by it all.

Thanks for following along for today’s journey.
 
About 15 years ago we left Danville at 6pm and it was 106 degree.
When we arrived at SFO we were greeted with that fabulous fog bank and 67 degree temps.

We we’re going to tour the Mediterranean this year but life happens.
Hopefully next year works out.

Yup, these are the good foods for making at home. Simple foods with max flavors. Less is more. That’s what we’re experiencing here in Rome. The simple flavors of very good quality ingredients.

SF is a good hideout when this more inland temps soar. We’ve been know to do the same. Especially when we’re in a long heat wave of 105°+.

We’ve been working on this trip since booking it in Nov 2021. Lots of work and research.

It’s worth it if you can make it a go.
