It was 96° and around 40% humidity. We easily drank 4 liters of water this afternoon. And sweat it right out.
I do prefer our 20% humidity though. But the architecture here is incredible. Pictures only relay part of the experience.
If you haven’t, or get the opportunity to travel to Rome, you certainly won’t regret it.
This trip is a huge bucket list check off for the wife and me.

Another walking tour of the Forums and outside of the Colosseum.
Gut wrenching history of the Romans and how they treated and killed (told from a Jewish history perspective).
Life came full circle for me today with all my years learning of Jewish history.
Outside of the colosseum. As you probably know the colosseum was not a happy place for “sporting” events. It was a place of gore, death and inhumanity.
The view from the Arch of Titus looking into the Forum and market area of Ancient Rome civilization. In the distance was the courts, trading markets and what wound have been the center of Roman life.
The Arch of Titus. Man this tells a wicked story of the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem and the pillaging of the Temple of its sacred artifacts and the enslavement of 50,000 Jews who were forced to carry back to Rome their religious symbols as plunder for the Romans.
The caravan of horses used to haul to Rome the plunder.
The enslaved Jews being forced to carry their sacred items which the Romans kept for themselves.
The first Botanical Garden was established within the Forums.
The road was constructed of volcanic rock over 2,000 years ago. Basically, this road is 100% ankle busters if you’re not paying close attention to the downhill grade.
What was once a pagan temple was converted to a Roman Catholic Church by the Vatican.
The Senate chamber on the right side.
Parts of the Forum where the Courts were and records were kept.
The left pile or rocks is where Julius Caesar was lit ablaze so he could ascend to heaven.
