The Not Ready for Prime Time Player Gets Busy

We were going to have a party at our house this weekend to celebrate my daughter’s confirmation.

Due to some unforeseen matters requiring our time, we decided to just cater coffee hour after church.

The menu will be brisket, pulled pork, penne with vodka sauce, potato salad, Cole slaw, fruit salad and a carrot sheet cake.

Here goes nothing:

First prep the brisket, it will go on about 24 hours from now

The flat cut was about $4 more per pound.

This will be my third time smoking one, and I did not want to take a chance with the larger less expensive cut.

I will fire up the grill tomorrow morning for the pork shoulders

When they come off in the evening, I’ll put the brisket on.
