The Glen Blue Platinum

That is the finest restoration ever. If you don't keep it, Weber should buy it from you. I would buy it just to display in my living room, but that might lead to divorce court.

I'm guessing it's a 2001-02 Genesis Platinum C because of the handle/lid side design, the Genesis Platinum badging and the five flavorizers. Though the carts look identical.

Yes, that is the one, however mine was the Budweiser edition just like the one
Sam restored a few years back in this thread .....

The Bud logo on mine was faded and torn. I opted not to replace it
in the fall when I decided to go with the Glen Blue. Sam and I discussed
swapping to a 13 bar box as he did, but I decided to just go with the
original. I had originally planned to make this the daily cooker for this
year, but after deciding to go with a full blown resto, I knew that would
never happen. I hope to find it a good home this spring. My Wife is not
pleased. Just as she was not when I dealt my first redhead 1000.
She should know by now, I change grills like socks. :)

So that one is going on CL and FB MP?? How much are you going to list that baby for?

I would think that is a good place to start. Maybe the higher end. I would hold strong for a while before I would go down. Now is the time for that thing to sell.

Some of you have likely seen this by now, but I am sure many have not.
This is my latest ground up resto.
Huge thanks to Jeff @ http://www.ipe-porcelain.com/ for doing
the lid redo- much improved from the faded black. Also, thanks to Charles
Bouchard for the wheel inserts.

Huge thanks to all the restoration guys here that shared tips with me over the
years also. Bruce, and Jon especially. Without the knowledge I have gained here,
work like this would not be possible. Rehabbing grills and doing it the right
way takes a certain appreciation for the craft. Going the extra steps to make
sure you do a top notch job, and produce great value for your customers.
It's not only the x's and o's you guys teach, it's also the way you all spread the
attitude to strive and be better than the average grill hacks that peddle their
sub-par flips.
Amazing - But we need more details. How did you dot that color top for starters, Year made, before pics, why it seems you have different size burner tubes, etc. Anything you want to share would be great!

Still to be determined. 6-700 range perhaps.
Uncharted waters for me ... very open to what everyone
here would suggest though.
$750, at least. Perhaps cast a wider marketing net beyond the normal sales sites. Someone from WKC should want it to go with their collection. Heck, reach out to Weber and see if they want it.

Post it on IG and tag Weber, Mike Lang, anyone else you can think of.

I keep looking at your amazing grill. That smoker box is brilliant. Was it custom, or did you find an aftermarket to fit. Not only does it look fantastic but it solves one of my pet peeves about the cross over tube not being protected and always rusting out before the burners. Did you cut the grates to fit or use ones made for a different grill? Wow!

Joe, the smoker box came new with the grill.

Chris A. has a huge archive of Weber catalogs, brochures, and marketing materials in the Weber Brochures sub-forum. It is a real cool place to browse.
