14 racks of baby backs for "my first catering gig" this weekend, which is actually my birthday and my wife's baby shower thrown together into one big festive party. I also intend on making 2 good sized boston butts, chicken drumsticks, pigshots, sliders and hotdogs. Throw in the mix will also be potato salad, green bean casserole, yellow rice, pasta salad, pigs in a blanket and deviled eggs. The Weber gear will definitely be getting a workout!

May I wish you a Happy Birthday and congrats. Based on what you will be making, sounds like it will be a lot of fun using the weber that much not to mention enjoying the fruits of your labor.

I'm afraid I may have you beat. 16 racks, 12 brisket points for burnt ends, and 4 butts for my daughter's wedding reception Friday night. I feel your pain!

Thanks everyone! I'm looking forward to it but at the same time know many parts of it are just going to straight up suck! LOL but it's also the first time a lot of my family and friends will get to try my cooking so looking forward to their feedback and maybe drumming up some business for the future!

Nice! I thought about doing a brisket or two but decided against it. Think i'll have my hands full as it is. That's a helluva wedding reception! Please post pics if you can!

Happy B-day Ben, mine is Monday as well, I thought I had my hands full as I will be cooking for 16 to 20 on the 4th. but after seeing one of your cooks I know you will do great, enjoy!

That is a lot of ribs ! I want to do a similar rib fest this summer myself. I will be interested to see how you go about it. Hope your party is a great success.

This will definitely be a test for me that's for sure.

I got to work this morning and my coworker friend gave me this for my bday. Has anyone seen or tried this before? Has me really intrigued and I think I have to buy another rack or two of ribs after work to do some taste trials.

I've never seen that spice before...I am however, really interested in finding out the flavor profile and taste. Keep us updated.
