That NYC DWD hot dog experience

Feeling nostalgic about NYC today. Go figure.

So I made up some dirty water dogs. Boiled Nathan’s hot dogs.

Steamed the buns in a rack.

Dressed with homemade NY cart hot red onions, mustard and my homemade kraut.

Just missing that Dr Browns Cel Rey.

nothing like homemade kraut. just shave the cabbage much thinner than i did above. otherwise, this was still crunchy and flavorful. i think i made this in march 2025, so 6 months ago now.

Agree. I've used my FP with the slicer disk, my V slicer and the slicer side of a box grater.
Easiest for me is a good sharp chef's knife. A little more work up front, but less clean up. Work smarter not harder .
