thanks guys. for the info, brought my WSM today got a good deal plus a heap of extras for $580. cant wait till sunday to light it up. depending how I wake up! footy is on this afternoon! do I need to do a burn off?
No need for seasoning or the like, but if I ever buy a new WSM, it would get washed inside and out with dish soap, just in case there was any manufacturing residue left behind.
Looks like the mother load there Sean. You're gonna grin when you figure out how easy BBQ is to cook with the WSM. Don't be afraid to ask questions - we all started on day one and had help along the way. ...but I don't see the beer. You gotta have beer or you can't cook. When the wife says, "What are you doing?" You can say, "Cooking." ...when REALLY what you're doing is drinking beer. If she comes and checks on you, you say, "I gotta sit here and make sure that needle doesn't move."
Looks like the you got the 18.5.
You're going to have to bend the outer "legs" of that rib / roast rack in slightly to fit in the cooker.
Try putting it in and you'll see what I mean.
I wish someone had told me that before I loaded mine up with 4 racks only to find out it wouldn't fit.
Congrats!
