At work we had a catered BBQ lunch yesterday. One of the sides was a coleslaw with corn, shredded cheese, cilantro, cumin, garlic and peppers. I liked it, and was told it was a Texas style.
I did a search online and found a few recipe's ( hit & miss on the reviews ). So does anyone have any tried and true versions they would like to share?

I was born and raised in TX. I've never heard of it. But to be sure, I asked my mom who's lived in TX 80+ yrs. She's never never heard of it. I think someone made cole slaw and put some "Texas" stuff in it (cumin, cilantro, corn, etc) and called it "Texas Cole Slaw". It sounds great ...but I never heard of it.

That's what I was thinking Dwain. After doing a search I haven't come across one that says authentic or just like "mom did " or this BBQ joint made.
Seems it just like adding a few different ingredients and calling something Tex-Mex.
Thk's for the reply's guys.
