I grew up on the southside ( Back of the Yards, McKinley park, Brighton park, Bridgeport,) I get that peeps don't want to come into the city for BBQ ( for obvious reasons) but it's still sad that what sets us apart from everyone else is going away.

Yeah, the city isn’t what she used to be. I have not been in almost ten years.

I worked in the city proper till 2019.
Downtown, south or west side, just mind your business and keep your head on a swivel.

Those are words to live by in practically any metro area. And I guess, only slightly less so out in the sticks.
