T-Bones and Taters

Had the day off on Tuesday and around 1pm I asked my wife, "What can I cook for dinner?" Sometimes this gets the reply, "I've already got things planned", but I got lucky and we pulled and thawed two t-bones. Also working in my favor is the oil sitting in our Krups deepfryer. It's a great machine, but once you fill it to use, you've gotta fry 4-5 times to make it worth it.

So here goes...
Marinated steaks in Worscheshire, pepper, splash of soy. I know everyone says good steaks don't need a marinade and they're right, but I like it. And more importantly....Melinda likes it.

Melinda's lovely hands dicing potatoes after they've blanched. We were worried about the timing on raw potatoes in the fryer so cut them smaller to ensure even cooking.

In they go to the fryer! This machine is cool, and very accurate with time and temperature. (Is everyone else's house extra messy right now?) Holiday Season = 10X the junk laying around.

Got gasser piping hot, hit the grates with a little EVOO, and let the fire go to work.

Color quality is not great and a bit deceiving. My flash on the iphone kept going off and distorting everything. This was a near-perfect pink. Small amount of juice after the rest. Firm enough but really exactly how I like it. With the Parmesan and Pepper potatoes. Perfect crunch out of them!

Enough said!

I marinade my steaks all the time...I like the flavor it gets.

You guys did a great job Luke.
