Sweet Potato on a WSM?

This could take a while, but if I'm cooking a turkey breast on my WSM for about two hours, couldn't I do sweet potato in that amount of time or less?

Jim put the potatoes in the coals 1 hour into the turkey cook. You can either foil the sweets or put them on as is. 1 hour in the coals should be perfect, depending on your temperatures your cooking the turkey at.

Nice!!

My eyes read: honey, raisins and butter, but for some reason my mind saw : rum, raisins, and butter.

I bet that would taste good too.

This has got me thinking, I'm on a no-carb diet where you are supposed to do a small "carb load" about once every four days, last meal of the day. I haven't even bothered to do it this way, and have just settled on not eating carbs in general. But the thought of some sweet potatoes roasted with rum, raisins and butter sound like reason enough to change my mind. Down 37 pounds since I started Sept. 29th. I like it cause it's not like Atkins, and seems healthier.

The raisins, honey/rum, and butter sounds awesome. COngrats on the weight loss Tom! I too have been dieting since April and am down 70 pounds as of today. I'm also doing a low carb diet, but not atkins. I did that for a while a year ago, and just didn't feel right while doing it, very sluggish. This weekend I'm going to do some taters though, I need some starch once in a while!
