Sunday was my 34th anniversary and we just stayed home and spent the day together. I had made some rubs and sauces Saturday (I was just about out), so I smoked a 9.5 lb pork butt on the Peformer/Smoke EZ. It's great - I may even sell my WSM to make more room on the deck.
Used 2.5 chimneys of KB. The butt took 12.5 hrs. and there was charcoal left.
Blue smoke and 260 degrees: Perfect!
Got the umbrella up just before the storm hit.
I think this is enough for the two of us.
My plate. According to my wife, the pork was "to die for". Add my wife's homemade cold slaw and some Bush's baked beans (and plenty of wine), and it was the best anniversary meal in years!
Some of the pictures are out of focus because I used my phone and got a little close on some of them. Not a Daniel-quality post, but it tasted great.
