Summit Gold on the curb!!

I believe anytime you buy the igniter kit it comes with those boxes at least on my 1000 it did and you could not buy them as a separate item. That is an unbelievable find restore it help you get some money back for the Napoleon.

Gord,

Here's a couple possibilities for your igniter replacement. The collectors look just like the classic Genesis ones. I know I bought a few of just those collectors from someplace, but I can't remember where.

Here's a good price on a collector and igniter specifically for the Summit:

Here's an entire replacement set including the battery part and everything for $37.00 Even if you don't need it all now, you would have the rest in reserve:

I am all in favor of not spending on expensive parts you don't need, so if you can make it work without spending much I would go for it. On the other hand, part of the allure of this grill is that it is the "top of the line" big dog Weber, so it ought to light up easily and safely.

Well, just a couple things I saw that I thought might be of some help. We are enjoying seeing your great find come all the way to like-new restoration:cool:. Best wishes, keep it going!

Gord it may be better to buy the unit that Jon found on Ebay and there are only 2 available. Not sure what grillparts charges for shipping but 3 boxes would be 19.50 before shipping and the entire unit is 37 on ebay with shipping. Can't spend your money though.
